Following the opening of the Dubai Metro Green Line, focus has now been put on increasing the rate of work on the Al Sufouh Tram in time for it’s opening in 2014. As with other RTA projects, the Al Sufouh Tram will be opened in phases and the first phase will be the opening of the stretch of tramway from Jumeirah Walk to Mall of the Emirates. There will be 13 stations opened in the initial phase out of the final 19 and 8 out of the 25 trams will be used.
