New Safety Measures on Roads

Some left turns and U turns at key junctions have been blocked in order to enhance the security of the Dubai tram system. After running for 6 weeks the RTA have got a better idea of which intersections are potentially sites of accidents and have moved to prevent this from happening by blocking some roads where the path of the tram crosses with vehicles. There has already been one collision between a tram and a car since the launch and so extra measures have been taken to stop any repeat of this. You can read further information here.
